use eco-friendly cleaners and save money while you save the planetGreen cleaning refers to using cleaning methods with environmentally-friendly ingredients and chemicals. Green cleaning techniques and products avoid the use of chemically-reactive and toxic cleaning products which contain various toxic chemicals, some of which emit volatile organic compounds causing respiratory and dermatological problems among other adverse effects. Green cleaning can also describe the way residential and industrial cleaning products are manufactured, packaged and distributed. If the manufacturing process is environmentally-friendly and the products are biodegradable, then the term "green" or "eco-friendly" may apply.

Organic cleaners are made with non-toxic and natural ingredients. They are certified by the government or an independent agency as organic by checking the ingredients that are used for the cleaning products. These environmental friendly cleaning products like organic soaps, detergents, shampoos etc. are as effective as other soaps and detergents. In fact, organic cleaners are more safer to use and cheaper too.

When talking of eco friendly cleaning, what comes to mind first are soaps. A biodegradable soap is also an environmentally friendly cleaning products. A biodegradable soap decomposes naturally over time. Depending upon its formulation, a biodegradable soap can be used for cleaning body, face, hair, hands and other things like dishes and clothes etc. These are non-toxic soaps manufactured with organic oils and thus are environmentally friendly cleaners. Oils are used in soap formulations to provide a nice fragrance and also as part of therapeutic bathing practice. For example, lavender and peppermint oils help relax a tensed person. Tree oil, eucalyptus and pumice ingredients can soothe aching feet. Jojoba, castor and almond oils are other oils used in eco friendly biodegradable soap formulations.

To get a home that is truly clean, rather than covered in toxic chemicals, try making your own non-toxic cleaners at home. It's easy! Basic ingredients found in your kitchen can be used to make non-toxic cleaners for your different cleaning needs. Cleaning with vinegar, baking soda, and lemons can keep your home clean on a budget and without exposure to harsh chemicals found in some cleaners. Using vinegar, baking soda, and lemons is a great way to keep your home clean.

Lemons have antibacterial qualities as well as a fresh and invigorating smell. Lemon oil is added to many cleaning products for its smell and cleaning properties. Lemons are acidic and can provide some antibacterial and antiseptic properties for cleaning. Vinegar can be a great cleaning ingredient, but many people dislike the vinegar smell. Adding lemon juice to vinegar when cleaning can help neutralize the vinegar smell. Countertop stains can be removed by allowing lemon juice to sit on the stain for a few minutes. Scrub the area with baking soda and watch the stains disappear. Don't leave the lemon juice sitting for too long. It can be powerful stuff.

Baking soda is a great tool to use for cleaning and scrubbing your home. It cleans, deodorizes, and softens water to increase the cleaning power of soap. A good scouring powder, stains on white enamel pots can be cleaned by boiling baking soda and water for 10 minutes. Also try scrubbing the pots with a baking soda and water paste.  Use baking soda that has been used in the refrigerator or freezer to help clean the drains and you'll extend the use of something you otherwise would have just thrown away. Use the same ideas to clean and freshen your garbage disposal. You may be able to cut the required amounts of baking soda, water, vinegar, and salt in 1/2 for use in your disposal.

Cleaning products are not only for home and skin, you also need to have cleaners for hair. Natural liquid shampoo is a great eco friendly cleaning product for hair. There are some easy recipes for making shampoo naturally.
